Our coworker Jernej Ekar, who finished his Ph.D. in 2024, successfully applied for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship with Ruđer Bošković Institute as a host institution. The project titled MATRIX-MeV will be centered around the optimization of the MeV-SIMS (secondary ion mass spectrometry) method and its detection limits. The research at the RBI will be primarily focused on applications in the fields of molecular biology and organic chemistry concerning imaging/mapping analysis. His MSCA project in Zagreb will be implemented in the years 2026 and 2027 since he is currently at his first postdoc at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste. In the year 2028, he plans to return to the
F4 department with a continuation of his doctoral and postdoctoral research via a project financed by ARIS as a part of the reintegration process.
