Congratulations to the department for being a part of the research and publication on “Green synthesis of 2D magnetite/graphitic carbon nitride nanocomposite for efficient removal of Hg²⁺”, which was featured on the cover of Environmental Science: Nano. In the paper, the authors describe a thermal sonication technique for the production of unique de novo nanosheets of tris-s-triazine carbon nitride, enriched with magnetite nanoparticles (M-g-CN). The new synthesis method provides a high percentage of stable, highly selective, and reusable M-g-CN and has a wide potential for applications, in particular as a green adsorbent in passive samples or materials for anti-pollution purposes.
